Whitman-Hanson Varsity Girls Lacrosse

The Whitman-Hanson Girls Varsity Lacrosse team won a league game versus Plymouth North today 16-11. The Panthers took a while to find their groove, but they found it and it led to a 9-6 lead at the half. The WH defense was then focusing on slowing down Leavitt & Kierstead of Plymouth North. The starters on defense did a great job of crashing and holding PN on offense. Taylor McVeigh (2G, 2A) and Mel McAleer (2G, 7A) dominated the draw with 7 and 5 draw controls respectively. Leading the scoring for the Panthers again was Ali Joanis with 9 goals. Mik White, Riley Bina, and Sami Whitman also scored a goal a piece. Kasey Molito saved 10 shots in net for WH. The win brings WH to 7-8 on the season (4-4 league).
