Subject: Patriot League All Stars - Cross Country

At Wednesday's Patriot League year-end meeting the Coaches voted in Samantha Coletti, Abbie Newman and Lukas Moscoso to the All-Star team. 7 members of the the Boys and the Girls team were chosen in this manner.  As a result of today's race, five additional All-Stars were selected on the basis of his/her finish.  Added to the 2015 Patriot League All Star team were Nicole Norve, Jack Ryan and Sam Evans.

With six teams and only twelve slots in the Keenan Division among each gender, selection to the All-Star team is quite an accomplishment.

Whitman-Hanson Volleyball defeats Scituate 3-0

Tonight the Panthers hosted Scituate and earned a 3-0 victory with game scores of 25-7, 25-10 and 25-12. This win sealed the Panthers 13th win of the season and propels the Panthers into the tournament on good footing. The Panthers took control of the game from the very beginning and never looked back. Tonight marked the first game back from injury for junior Chloe Roberts who had solid play at the net earning a couple of early kills. The Panthers were led by Chiara Cassiano with 5 kills, 3 blocks and 2 aces and Sophie O'Brien with 4 kills and 1 block. A special note is that Sophie O'Brien was selected as a Patriot League All-Star which is well deserved recognition for the hard working Junior middle hitter and team tri-captain. The Panthers now wait to see who they will face in the first game of the tournament next week.
