Senior Andrew Newman ran away with his first place finish on Hingham's home course in 16:40 but the Harbormen placed 7 of the next 8 runners to win handily 22-39. Sr Captain Jack Ryan also ran well for the Panthers placing 5th (17:39) in the loss. Up and coming Freshman Liam Cafferty was the third Panther across the finish line (10th, 18:10) ahead of Senior Captain Alex Uva (11th, 18:42.) W-H drops to 2-1 at the hands of undefeated Hingham.
For the Girls, Panther Sr Captain Nicole Norve also won her race in 21:46. But it was Hingham placing runners 2 through 8 to seal the 20-43 victory. Also scoring for Whitman-Hanson was SR Julia Cosgrave (9th, 22:57), JR Maeve Rooney (12th, 23:25), SR Captain Camryn Boyce (14th, 23:30) and JR Dorothy DiMascio-Donahue (16th, 23:36.) The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.
