Whitman-Hanson volleyball hosted Silver Lake on Wednesday and despite a strong start lost the match 3-1. The game scores were 25-22(WH), 18-25(SL), 24-26(SL) and 14-25(SL). The Panthers started strong and stayed in the match with close game scores. They played smart with high energy in the second and third sets. Whitman-Hanson struggled in serve receive and could not overcome the difficulty in set four. The Panthers were led tonight by power middle captain Halle Julian with 11 kills and 10 blocks. Tori Perry led in assists and served strong. Also playing well for the panthers was sophomore Ella Sweeney showing huge improvement in the front row. The Panthers are 0-2 and travel to Pembroke Friday.
