The Whitman-Hanson Girls Varsity Lacrosse team came up against a very tough Duxbury team at home in a league match-up. The Panthers played the Dragons hard, but Duxbury shot out to an early lead. The second half, the Panthers came alive and did a better job of moving the ball. Taylor McVeigh came in again as center and did a good job of draw control. Mel McAleer played goalie for the first time ever and did well stopping 4 shots. On offense, the Panthers were led by Rachel Kelly and Gabby Majenski who each had 2 goals and an assist. Also scoring for W-H was McVeigh and Liz Hyslip each with a goal and Rachel Spillane had an assist.
The 19-6 loss brings the Panthers to 5-9 on the season (4-3 league).
