Ben Freedman pitched 6 shutout innings (92 pitches) for his first varsity win for the Hawks today as Hanover beat Quincy 10-0. Freedman surrendered only 1 hit and collected 9 K's. Max Aikins (13 pitches) collected the save for Hanover after pitching a flawless 7th inning.
Thomas Perkins and Cole Hendrickson each collected 4 hits on the day. Hanover got on the board in the 3rd after Perkins singled, Hendrickson singled and Gabe Knudsen doubled scoring 2.
Hanover collected 15 hits in the game. Hendrickson provided the pop in the middle of the lineup, collecting 3 RBI.
Hanover plays Scituate at home Tuesday at 4pm.
