The Whitman-Hanson Boys Cross Country team improved to 6-0 on the season with a 25-36 win on its 5K course over Quincy/NorthQuincy on Thursday afternoon. Quincy harriers Jimmy Cannon (17:07) and Peter Saccoach (17:48) finished first and second overall, but Whitman-Hanson placed the next 8 runners to take the victory. Scoring for Whitman-Hanson were Junior Captain Lukas Moscoso (3rd, 18:03) Sophomore Jack Ryan (4th, 18:11) Senior Captain Sam Evans (5th, 18:53) Sophomore Andrew Newman (6th, 18:55) and Junior Chris Kenney (7th, 18:59.) Patrick Duffey (19:01), Bryce Pulkinen (19:02) and Jayson Keenan (19:04) also ran well for the undefeated Panthers.
Senior Captain Samantha Coletti led the Whitman-Hanson Girsl Cross Country team to a 19-42 win at Whitman-Hanson Thursday afternoon. COletti covered the 5k course in 19:34 outdistancing Quincy/North Qincy's Abby Murphy (21:08.) Rounding out the scoring for Whitman-Hanson were Senior Captain Abbie Newman (3rd, 21:38) Sophomore Nicole Norve (4th, 21:38) Sophomore Lillian Perkins-Reisdorf (5th, 23:12) and Sophomore Julia Cosgrave (6th, 23:30.) Whitman-Hanson's record now stands at 5-1 in Patriot League action.
